ABOUT King Construction West
Founded in 2022 by husband-wife team, Andrew and Hannah King, King Construction West serves the greater Missoula area, and strives for excellence in the field of residential construction.
We understand that your home is one of your most valuable possessions, both as a financial investment, and even more so because it is the place where much of your life is lived. Home can be a workplace, a haven, an event space, a study hall, a test kitchen. It's where you dance in the kitchen with your kids while baking cookies; it's where you get the best night's sleep; where you look forward to returning after a trip. At its best, your home is a place you can let your hair down; it's where you make memories with your family and enjoy gatherings with friends.
What are your goals for your home? We believe that the construction quality and layout of your home directly influence the ways in which you use it. Your home can either work for or against you. If your home doesn't currently meet your needs, a good remodel can transform your home from enemy to staunch ally, with a kitchen island ready to catch your armful of groceries when you walk in the door, and a set of built-in bookshelves to show off that boxed-up collection of your grandmother's china. Bring us your completed design, and we'll help walk you through the nuts and bolts of what it will take to make those plans a reality. We would love to simplify your awkward kitchen layout, or turn your wasted basement space into an office.

Any kind of home construction brings a measure of built-in stress. You worked hard to finance your project, and we work hard to steward those resources well. We will use our expertise to ensure that your home is built to, or exceeds, industry standards.

Andrew King
Owner, General Contractor
Owner Andrew King comes from a long line of builders, and has been building since he was a boy. Helping to build his own family's home at the age of 12 stirred his interest in construction, and he has honed that interest over the years by working in various facets of the construction industry, including time spent on the construction crew at an oil refinery and as a certified timber bridge inspector. Andrew served five years in the military, and holds a B.A. in landscape architecture from Washington State University.
Andrew worked for two years in landscape construction, focusing on outdoor residential construction projects. In 2015, he transitioned to the residential construction industry, as a site superintendent and project manager for a general contractor in the Seattle area, specializing in custom home construction and remodels. In 2022, Andrew moved his family to Montana and branched out to work for himself as a general contractor, founding King Construction West. He continues to specialize in both new builds and remodels, as well as outdoor residential construction. Andrew genuinely loves his field, and is particularly interested in building science and job site efficiency. His educational background in landscape architecture, coupled with his boots-on-the-ground experience as a builder, allows him to bring a unique perspective to his projects by bridging the communication gap that commonly exists between designers and contractors. As a homeowner himself, Andrew understands the concerns and needs of clients, and strives to communicate clearly and manage projects with an eye to both budget and craftsmanship. Skilled in managing all the moving parts of construction projects, as well as self-performing work where needed, his end goal is an excellent product that everyone involved--especially his clients--can be proud of.
Andrew and Hannah have five children, and enjoy getting out on family road trips and outdoor adventures.
Hannah King
Office Manager
Hannah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, specializing in Russian, Spanish, and Italian. She has an eye for detail and design, and helps to manage the behind-the-scenes details that keep KCW running smoothly. You might also talk with her on the phone or via email as your project moves along.
Hannah spends most of her time caring for and home-educating her children. She can often be found reading a good book aloud with her kids. Multiple big moves have instilled in Hannah a deep appreciation for the importance of home. She loves to use hers to make good food and memories with her family, and to host friends over coffee or a meal.
