Kennedy earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Montana in 2025, graduating summa cum laude, and spent the past year teaching middle school math — experience that sharpened her ability to explain complex processes clearly and to keep people organized, informed, and at ease. Before that, she managed a small business, where she handled social media, curated the store’s offerings, and did interior design work, developing both a trained eye for design and a knack for anticipating client needs before they ask. Together, that background makes Kennedy a natural fit for guiding clients through the selections process — translating design decisions into clear, manageable steps and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Kennedy is the newest member of the KCW team, drawn to the company by its family-forward values — something she now gets to experience firsthand, since her husband, Alex, works as KCW’s carpenter. As Client Relations Manager, she’s often the first person you’ll talk to, and your go-to for navigating design choices and selections throughout your project.

In her free time, Kennedy loves thrifting and curating unique pieces for her own home and often lends her eye for design to friends looking to refresh theirs.

Jack’s construction background is well-rounded, having spent several years working in flooring installation, fine woodworking, and drywall finishing before making the jump to major remodels with CJB Builders. He joined the KCW team in January 2026, when KCW absorbed CJB.

Jack enjoys hard work, and carpentry in particular, especially custom builds where he gets to turn a client’s vision into something tangible. As site superintendent, Jack oversees project progress and quality, managing day-to-day operations on the job site. His attention to detail, solid work ethic, and integrity set a high standard for conduct and quality on our projects.

Jack moved to Missoula in 2018 for the outdoors, and along the way found a strong connection to his local church community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, and serving others.

Alex started working in maintenance as a handyman at 15 and later managed a Starbucks — early experience that taught him how to work hard and work well with people. After marrying Kennedy and moving to Missoula in 2022, he set his sights on carpentry and has been learning and growing in the trade ever since. Alex’s cheerful grit helps to keep our job sites upbeat, even in driving rain and snow.

For Alex, the reward isn’t just in the craft — it’s in watching clients enjoy the work of his hands in something as personal as a home. That sense of purpose shows up in every project he takes on with KCW.

When he’s not on the job, you can probably find Alex tucked into a local coffee shop planning the next trip — or already out on one, exploring somewhere new.

Gavin’s love for building started early. As a kid, he loved watching a floor scattered with Lego pieces come together into a house or a car. That same fascination carried into construction as he got older, and these days, he’ll tell you swinging a hammer and driving nails is still just plain fun.

He spent three years with a small construction company in Bozeman, where he learned everything from framing to trim carpentry to cabinetry. Trim work is where he takes the most pride — getting seams tight and finishes flush so the final product looks clean and professional.

Gavin’s wife grew up in the Nine Mile Valley, and the two met while she was in college in Bozeman. They moved back to the area after getting married, drawn by their love for the community. In his free time, Gavin enjoys hunting, archery, rifle shooting, and volunteering at his local church.
